Supporting the town centre

Rather than see a series of different initiatives launched in Bicester, the Chamber hosted a meeting with the Federation of Small Businesses, Cherwell District Council and Bicester Vision to agree a joint approach.

The end result was the official launch of the Keep Trade Local campaign in Bicester. Tony Baldry MP, Miranda Markham Chamber Vice Chairman, Barrie Wheatley FSB Oxfordshire Chairman, Ben Jackson Chamber President, Cllr Norman Bolster CDC and Bicester Vision Chairman Bob Langton all attended the launch outside COVERSURE on the Market Square in Bicester.

They were joined by over a dozen representatives of local businesses and after the event walked through the town promoting the campaign.
